Practical Activities of 9th Cohort Nursing Students

Battambang Institute of Nursing Sciences continues to place strong emphasis on student training by integrating theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice in order to strengthen students’ professional competencies and prepare them for their future nursing careers.
During this practical session, 9th Cohort Nursing Students participated in the assessment and examination of patients with conditions related to the musculoskeletal system. The activity was designed to strengthen students’ understanding of the essential steps and techniques used in patient assessment.
Students practiced observation, examination of the limbs, assessment of movement, and the step-by-step process of conducting a musculoskeletal assessment. This practical experience allowed students to apply the knowledge they had learned in the classroom to a realistic training setting and to gain a clearer understanding of patient evaluation.
Under the guidance and supervision of instructors, students took part in hands-on practice while other students observed, took notes, discussed the procedures, and exchanged knowledge with one another. This learning approach helps improve accuracy, attentiveness, communication, teamwork, and professional confidence.
Continuous practical training plays an important role in preparing students for future clinical placements and real healthcare environments. It also helps students develop critical thinking, responsibility, confidence, and professional ethics, which are essential qualities for the nursing profession.
