Battambang Institute of Nursing Sciences continues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning through a Student-Centered Approach and Active Learning, encouraging students to take an active role in the learning process. During this activity, 12th Cohort Nursing Students participated in group discussions, information gathering, note-taking, analysis, and collaborative problem-solving based on assigned learning topics. Through group work, students had the opportunity to exchange ideas, listen to different perspectives, ask questions, and work together to find solutions. This approach allows students to go beyond simply receiving information from instructors by encouraging them to explore, think, and learn independently. Following the group discussions, students presented the results of their work in front of the class. These presentations helped strengthen their ability to organize ideas, communicate clearly, explain information, and build confidence in public speaking. The Active Learning approach also supports the development of critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, teamwork, and personal responsibility for learning. For nursing education in particular, these skills are essential in preparing students to analyze situations, collaborate effectively with others, and respond to challenges in future healthcare environments. This student-centered approach also supports the principles of Competency-Based Education, which focuses not only on knowledge, but also on practical skills, communication, critical thinking, and the overall competencies students need for professional practice. Battambang Institute of Nursing Sciences continues to place strong emphasis on student training by integrating theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice in order to strengthen students’ professional competencies and prepare them for their future nursing careers. During this practical session, 9th Cohort Nursing Students participated in the assessment and examination of patients with conditions related to the musculoskeletal system. The activity was designed to strengthen students’ understanding of the essential steps and techniques used in patient assessment. Students practiced observation, examination of the limbs, assessment of movement, and the step-by-step process of conducting a musculoskeletal assessment. This practical experience allowed students to apply the knowledge they had learned in the classroom to a realistic training setting and to gain a clearer understanding of patient evaluation. Under the guidance and supervision of instructors, students took part in hands-on practice while other students observed, took notes, discussed the procedures, and exchanged knowledge with one another. This learning approach helps improve accuracy, attentiveness, communication, teamwork, and professional confidence. Continuous practical training plays an important role in preparing students for future clinical placements and real healthcare environments. Battambang Institute of Nursing Sciences continues to place strong emphasis on enhancing the quality of teaching and learning through the active participation of students in the evaluation process and the constructive feedback they provide regarding their instructors’ teaching. During this activity, first-semester students in the Associate Degree in Nursing program participated in the Student Evaluation of Teaching (SET) by completing evaluation forms designed to reflect their learning experiences and perspectives on the teaching and learning process. Student evaluation is an important part of improving the quality of higher education. Feedback received from students provides valuable information that can be used to review and improve teaching methods, making them more effective, appropriate, and responsive to students’ learning needs. Through this evaluation process, instructors are able to better understand the strengths of their teaching as well as areas that may require further improvement. This helps support the continuous development of lesson preparation, knowledge delivery, communication, classroom interaction, and academic support for students. This activity also encourages students to take an active and responsible role in improving the quality of their education by providing constructive feedback that contributes to the development of a better learning environment. On **May 13, 2026**, the **12th Cohort Nursing Students** of Battambang Institute of Nursing Sciences participated in their first-semester clinical practice at **Battambang Provincial Referral Hospital**, where they had the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills learned in the classroom within a real healthcare environment. Clinical practice is an essential part of nursing education, providing students with opportunities to observe, learn, and participate directly in patient care under the guidance and supervision of instructors and experienced healthcare professionals. Through hands-on practice, students gained experience in communicating with patients, observing and assessing patient conditions, preparing and providing appropriate nursing care, and maintaining proper hygiene, safety, and infection-prevention practices in the clinical setting. The clinical placement also allowed students to gain experience caring for patients of different ages and with different healthcare needs. Through these activities, students learned to perform nursing responsibilities carefully, professionally, and with a strong sense of accountability. In addition, clinical practice helps students build confidence, strengthen critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, improve communication and teamwork, and develop the ability to adapt to real healthcare environments.
